About EB-5 Regional Centers
An EB-5 regional center is an economic entity, public or private, that has been approved by USCIS to sponsor capital investment projects for EB-5 visa eligibility. Regional centers allow investors to count indirect and induced jobs toward the EB-5 job creation requirement, which direct investment projects do not.
Under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022, all regional centers must obtain designation through the Form I-956F application process. USCIS evaluates each application to confirm that the regional center meets operational, compliance, and integrity requirements established by the RIA.
Regional center designation is geographic in scope. A center may be approved to operate within a single state, across multiple states, or nationwide. The scope of designation determines where the regional center can sponsor investment projects.
