EB-5 Reauthorization Watch: Congressional Landscape 2026 | EB5Status
Current status The EB-5 Regional Center program expires on September 30, 2027. As of April 2026, no standalone reauthorization bill has been introduced in the 119th Congress. The only EB-5 specific legislation filed this session is H.R. 6992, the EB-5 Advisory Committee Act, which would create an advisory body but does not address the program's expiration. The bipartisan coalition that passed the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act in 2022 remains intact, but that coalition has not yet produced a reauthorization vehicle. This article tracks Congressional posture, identifies key players and institutional dynamics, and flags the complications introduced by the Gold Card executive order.
