Methodology
Country-level disaggregation of USCIS FOIA data. Approval rate = approvals / (approvals + denials). Adjudication rate = adjudicated / receipts. Countries with fewer than 20 receipts are grouped as ROW (Rest of World).

Methodology
Filing cohorts are quarterly periods. Adjudicated percentage tracks cumulative adjudication progress for petitions filed in each cohort. No estimation is applied.

Methodology
Each insight includes its own methodology field. Backlog = receipts minus adjudicated. Processing velocity = adjudicated / receipts per TEA. Skew index = rural adjudication rate / HUA adjudication rate.

Methodology
All calculations use standard mathematical operations on aggregated USCIS statistics. No sampling, estimation, or extrapolation is applied. Data is presented as reported in the official FOIA releases.
Approval Rate = Approvals / (Approvals + Denials) * 100
Adjudication Rate = Adjudicated / Receipts * 100
Backlog = Receipts -- Adjudicated
Processing Velocity = Adjudicated / Receipts (per TEA)
Skew Index = Rural Adj Rate / HUA Adj Rate
Country-level metrics are computed per chargeability area using the same formulas. View individual country pages for breakdowns. TEA-level metrics are aggregated across all countries.
